{poem} The Crime

Posted by SprintT - October 30th, 2007

This is about Rex (the father) from the glass castle. What do you think?

The Crime
In this house a boy becomes a man before his time.
In this house innocence is lost.
In this house a child was forced to act as a mime.
In the house a crime was done to the boy at the greatest cost.

The boy grew to a man.
Alcohol became his escape from the crime.
The boy ran.
He would came back in due time.

Although the man gained all the knowledge he could.
The man tried to understand the crime.
Understand the crime the man never would.
Alcohol would suppress the pain from that time.

Returning would only cause the pain to return.
The man would drink to forget.
The man just wouldn't learn.
The pain is permanent.

the good thing is that it isn't just a bunch of ryming words it shows a certain story with a good moral.
